Dear Adrian, Founding in Europe and particularly in northern countries like Sweden is a different matter. You do have an effective system of grants that don't exist in the US. However, there are in the US a few opportunites for artist in residence and grants. (Although they are often sponsored by corporation through institutions or private foundations) I know that the following organizations have such programs: Harvestworks Digital Media Arts Center: http://www.harvestworks.org/ MIT: http://web.mit.edu/arts/special_programs/air_artists.ht ml Arts international: http://www.artsinternational.org/ Some musicians on the list might be willing to share more info on this topic?? Lily :)
